RiskEye Partners with ARAG Ireland

Press Release - Feb 12 2024

ARAG, the leading Specialist Legal Expense insurer with over nineteen operations worldwide and RiskEye – international experts in online reputation protection and management - combined forces to provide a novel protection solution to the National Association of Principals and Deputies (NAPD).

Based on ARAG’s founding principle of “Access to Justice for all” and RiskEye’s commitment to protecting and keeping their clients safer on social media, the marriage of both secures a fully comprehensive solution for their clients, including across all digital platforms. This union provides all their clients with rapid, effective and cost-effective access to justice and online protection within a single platform.

The on-line world has changed our lives utterly & is changing hourly.    ARAG recognise the need for thinking smart to solve their client’s problems transacting business in this ever-changing digital environment. This involves staying ahead of problems by working with the recognised experts in that field, enabling them to provide a seamless, collaborative reputation protection service.

Late last year ARAG & RiskEye presented their proposal to the NAPD Executive Council, which was approved and then ratified at their conference in October and is now fully operational.    This collaboration provides organisations such as the NAPD a unique solution.  ARAG provide a core Legal Expenses Insurance policy while RiskEye provides comprehensive 24/7 online protection service, which includes building Risk and Safety profiles, monitoring harm and providing mitigation and solutions.

The client has peace of mind knowing they are covered for everything from fake accounts through to harmful untrue content on their social profiles.  The customer now has benefit from both from Arag Legal Services Policies and RiskEye Online Reputation Security. Now clients have not just a ‘solicitor in your pocket,’ they also have a real-world online expert that can provide expertise and help for the online world too.

Commenting on the unique protection offered by ARAG and RiskEye for all NAPD members, Deputy Director, Rachel O' Connor, said today: 'a significant percentage of calls that we receive via our NAPD Confidential Support Service are issues such as bullying, intimidation, parody accounts, possible reputational damage etc.- all as a result of online activity. RiskEye is providing our members with a very solution-focussed, hands-on, coaching approach - helping schools and school leaders both mitigate and moderate these online issues that can cause our members’ significant distress.

Commenting on working with RiskEye for such an extensive, exciting new client such as the NAPD, Adrienne O’Sullivan, CEO ARAG Ireland said today: Under our Smart Insurer initiative ARAG have continued to explore how to develop within the digital world. Social media offers many benefits as we all know, but also problems. Combining the expertise of both ARAG and RiskEye, we can further protect our clients from traditional and online threats they may face.   We provide a range of Insurance contracts to protect both Business and private clients – in areas such as Employment issues, Property Protection, tax issues, legal defence, contract disputes and debt recovery. This is now extended to clients such as the NAPD for whom our main offering is pre-crisis and in-crisis assistance to online threats and harm. Our clients now have a person at the other end of the line who can offer immediate solutions and strategies. This takes over the burden of every step from managing and recording the harm to doing the removal and education work where needed. When harm happens, we bring that expertise to the table.

Commenting on working with ARAG and the NAPD, Nicola Byrne, Founder of RiskEye said today: “Our work with the NAPD is fascinating because of the breadth of issues faced by such an organisation.  We’re able to help principals and deputy principals spending all day making reports to platforms and dealing with the issues.  It’s fantastic to be able to bring our expertise to the table and use our knowledge and give comfort to the schools that somebody knows how this all works. There is great job satisfaction for us seeing the system succeeding in real time by providing schools with a valuable resource to add to their toolkit.  There are no online issues RiskEye hasn’t solved.  We’re delighted that the ARAG model allowed us to bring our service to the NAPD in such a meaningful cost, effective way.  It’s a win – win – win”.
